After 3 oppening concert in 2015 and noted concerts for the Hanoi audience in April, June and September 2016, The Hanoi New Music Ensemble continues to conquer the capital audience by 2 concerts with a completely new repertoir of contemporary compositions. The program keeps the mission of introducing the works composed by the Vietnamese composers through the ages, as well as bringing to the public most tipical world ‘s contemporary compositions.

Founded in 2015 by the composers Vu Nhat Tan, Tran Kim Ngoc, violinist Pham Truong Son and American conductor Jeff Von Der Schmidt, the Hanoi New Music Ensemble (HNME) is a new group bringing Vietnamese and international contemporary music to the Vietnamese public. The HNME is already the main ambassador of contemporary Vietnamese music to the international music scene. HNME members include senior musicians of the classical music community in Vietnam: Pham Truong Son/ violin 1, Pham Mai Anh/ violin2, Nguyen Trong Bang/ Flute, Tran Thu Thuy/ Viola, Nguyen Quoc Bao/ Clarinet, Dao Tuyet Trinh/ Cello, Pham Quynh Trang/ Piano, and other collaborators.
